Plein (Straight Up): A bet on a single number being the winning number. Place your chip entirely inside the square of the number you wish to bet on.
Cheval (Split Bet): A bet on two numbers that sit adjacent to each other on the betting area. Place your chip on the line that divides the two numbers.
Transversale Pleine (Street Bet): A bet on 3 numbers that sit in the same row of the betting area. Place your chip on the line on the edge of the ‘street’, for example on the left edge of ‘16’ to bet on 16, 17 and 18. You can also bet on 0, 1 and 2 or 0, 2 and 3 as a Street Bet by placing a chip on the intersection where those combinations meet.
Carré (Corner Bet): Betting on 4 different numbers. Place your chip on the intersection of lines where 4 numbers meet.
Transversale de Quatre (Four Bet): a bet on 0, 1 , 2 and 3. Place your chips on the line where 0 meets the first row (1, 2 and 3).
Transversale Simple (Line Bet): a bet on two streets. Place your chip at the point where at the point where the two lower numbers on each line meet. For example, placing the chip on the intersection between ‘16’ and ‘19’ would place a bet on 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22.
Colonne (Column Bet): a bet on a strip of twelve numbers. Place your chip in one of the three boxes at the bottom of the right of the table (directly opposite the ‘0’ square). If, for example, you place a chip on the left hand square (the one closest to you), that would place a bet on numbers 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31 and 34. It pays 2-1, with ‘0’ being a losing bet.
