The objective of playing Penny Roulette is to place bets on where the ball will land on the roulette wheel. This online roulette game can be played for a minimum bet of just 1p!
The game is played with standard European roulette rules. The roulette wheel consists of the numbers 1-36 and a single Zero position.
How to Play:
Note: You can bet as many chips as you like, providing you do not exceed the maximum betting limit. This information is displayed on the top centre of the screen.
Note: The payouts and betting limits for each betting option will appear in a tooltip if you hover your mouse over a position on the betting table.
The results will be shown on screen when the ball comes to rest on the wheel. Winning bets will be paid into your balance.
Note: Winning chips will remain on the table for the next round. Press Clear Bets to remove them and start again.
You will be given the following options after the round has concluded:
William Hill Casino can also add a timer to the game. This means that bets must placed and confirmed within certain time limits. A Confirm Bets button will be added to the screen when it is played with a timer. Unconfirmed bets will not be valid. William Hill can add or remove the timer at any time.
Table Features and Layout:
The wheel consists of the numbers 1-36 and the Zero position. The betting table consists of the main betting area and the racetrack.

The top right of the screen holds the history panel. This will show the results of the previous eight rounds. The bottom of the history panel will display the percentage coverage of bets placed on the table.

Note: You must delete a Favourite Bet if you wish to save one after four have already been saved.
Minimum and Maximum Betting Limits:
The minimum and maximum betting limits are displayed in a panel on the top of the screen. In addition, hovering your cursor over any betting position will show the limits for that specific bet type.
Penny Roulette offers all the standard European roulette betting options. These are shown with their payouts in the table below:
A bet on any single number 1-36 or Zero
35 to 1
A bet on any two neighbouring numbers on the table, e.g. 1-2 or 19-20.
17 to 1
A bet on any three numbers on a single line (street), e.g. 25-26-27.
11 to 1
A bet on any four numbers that form a square, e.g. 25-26-28-29.
8 to 1
A bet on the numbers 0-1-2-3.
8 to 1
A bet on two streets (six numbers), e.g. 7-8-9 and 10-11-12.
5 to 1
A bet on a column of numbers (12 numbers that form a line on the table), e.g. 1-4-7-10-13-16-19-22-25-38-31-34.
2 to 1
A bet on a numerical dozen, e.g. 1-12, 13-24 or 25-36.
2 to 1
A bet on the ball landing on a red or black position on the wheel.
1 to 1
A bet on the ball landing on an odd or even number.
1 to 1
A bet on the ball landing on a number between 1-18 (Low) or 19-36 (High).

Final Bets, Complete Bets and Half Complete Bets:
Click the More Bets button to access the following betting options:
Final Bets = a bet on all outcomes ending in a specific number. For example, select 1 from the Final Bets tab to place chips on 1, 11, 21 and 31.
Complete Bets = a bet on all possible outcome from a single number. For example, a Complete Bet on the number 20 would bet on the following:
Note: 40 chips in total are placed on a Complete Bet.
Half Complete Bets = a bet on various outcomes from a single number. The bets are the same as the Complete Bets, with the omission of the Street and Lines Bets.
Note: 25 chips are placed on a Half Complete Bet.
Tier/Orphelins/Voisins du Zero:
You can also place bets using the racetrack on the upper right-hand side of the screen. These bets are called Tiers, Orphelins and Voisins du Zero.
Tier =bets covering the bottom third of the wheel, with the top of the wheel regarded as the Zero position. 12 numbers are covered.
Orphelins = bets covering two segments of the wheel between the bottom ‘Tier’ and upper half of the wheel (Voisins du Zero). Eight numbers are covered.
Voisins du Zero: bets covering the upper half of the wheel, i.e. the numbers to the left and right of the Zero position. 17 number and Zero are covered.
Return to Player:
The theoretical RTP (Return to Player) for Penny Roulette is 97.30%.
The following buttons appear on screen and are used to play Penny Roulette online:
Clear Bets – removes all chips from the betting table.
Undo – removes the last placed chip from the betting table.
Spin – spins the wheel/starts the game.
Double – doubles all bets placed on the betting table.
Rebet – places the same bets as the previous round.
Rebet & Spin – places the same bets as the previous round and spins the wheel.
Double & Spin – double all bets placed in the previous round and spins the wheel.
Confirm Bets* – confirms bets for the next game.
*button only appears when the game is played on a timer.
The Casino Toolbar runs along the upper and lower edges of the screen. It contains the following buttons and displays:
Game Balance – displays your current available balance to play online casino games.
Cashier – click to open the main banking tool at the casino. Use the Cashier to make deposits and withdrawals, or to view your transaction history.
Play for Real Money – press to play Penny Roulette online for real money at William Hill Casino. This option will only be available on the Toolbar when you are playing in Fun Mode.
Menu – select to open a menu offering these further options:
Close – click to close the current tab and return to the main menu.
Quick Deposit – use to deposit funds quickly without opening the Cashier. A list of quick deposit options may appear in a pop up window once per session if your balance is running low.

Note on Disconnections:
The game round will still be completed if you lose internet connection when playing Penny Roulette. You can see the results by accessing the History Tool when you log into the casino again. Winning bets will be paid into your balance (if applicable).
Note on Malfunctions:
A game malfunction will void all bets, with the stake returned to the player.
