The objective of playing Caribbean Stud Poker is to get a five-card poker hand that beats the dealer’s hand. Unlike many online blackjack, poker and roulette games, Caribbean Stud Poker features a Progressive Jackpot award.
The game is played using a single deck of cards, which is shuffled after each round.
How to Play:
Note: There is also an option to place a side bet on the Progressive Jackpot game. This will be explained in detail in a section below.
Concluding the game:
Both you and the dealer are dealt five cards. Your cards will be face up (showing), whereas the dealer will have one card face up and four face down. No new cards are dealt after this in Caribbean Stud Poker. You will be given the following options:
When you select Call, the dealer will reveal their cards.
When the game has been concluded, you will be given the option to Rebet (place the same bets as the previous round) or New Game (start a new game from the beginning).
Note: the payouts for winning hands are shown on the right-hand side of the screen.
Progressive Jackpot Side Bet:
The Progressive Jackpot Side Bet is independent from the main game. The cost for entry to the Jackpot game is shown beside the coin slots of the Ante Circle. Click on the coin slot to place the Jackpot bet.
You will win a payout if you achieve any hand shown on the Progressive Jackpot Payout Table (on the left-hand side of the screen). Getting a Royal Flush will award the entire Jackpot amount. The current Jackpot award is shown in the display on the left-hand side of the screen.
Note: the dealer does not need to qualify, nor do you need to beat the dealer’s hand, to win in the Jackpot game.
A Progressive Jackpot is funded by taking a percentage of each player’s bets on the game. The casino will also provide a base amount, which is called a seed.
The Progressive Jackpot is awarded and funded as follows:
Seed (amount provided by casino to fund Jackpot) = 5000 x Jackpot Bet.
Contribution Rate (amount taken from each bet to fund Jackpot) = 75%.
Win Requirement (result needed to win Jackpot) = Royal Flush.
Win Condition (how to be eligible for Jackpot) = Play Jackpot Side Bet.
Return to Player:
The theoretical RTP (Return to Player) for Caribbean Stud Poker ranges between 97.44% and 90.33%.
