The main objective of playing Premium Blackjack is to beat the dealer’s score without exceeding 21. All cards are scored at face value (Jack, Queen, King = 10), with an Ace counting as 11 or 1. This online blackjack game uses standard Vegas Strip rules. Eight decks are used and shuffled after each round.
In addition to the main game, you will be given the option to place side bets on Pairs and 21+3.
A hand consisting of Blackjack (Ace + 10, Jack, Queen or King) will pay 3 to 2 on your bet.
You must select your table limits when the game loads for the first time. A screen will provide options for minimum and maximum betting amounts. Press Join after selecting the table limits.
A panel offering a selection of chips is located on the bottom left of the main screen.
How to Play:
Two cards will be dealt to you and the dealer when you have selected Deal. Your cards will be displayed face up (showing), whereas the dealer’s cards will be displayed on face down and one face up. All Side Bets (except Dealer Pair) will be judged before the main game has been completed.
Once you have made your play, the dealer will play out their hand. The dealer must draw to 16 and stand on 17 or above. The main game is judged in the following ways:
When the game has concluded, the following options will be offered:
Insurance and Splitting:
Further options may be offered in the main game depending on what cards are dealt in the initial deal:
You will be offered the chance to place an Insurance Bet if the dealer’s first (showing) card is an Ace. Insurance is a bet on the prospect of the dealer having Blackjack.
If you place the bet and the dealer reveals Blackjack, you will be paid 2 to 1 on that bet regardless of how main game plays out. The Insurance Bet is lost if the dealer reveals any other hand but Blackjack.
The Insurance Bet is a fixed sum, equal to half your initial stake.
You will be offered the chance to Split if your first two cards are the same value, e.g. two Jacks or two 7s etc.
Opting to Split will create two new hands using one of the initial two cards to make each new hand. The split hands will be played out separately from each other.
The cost of splitting will be a bet equal to your initial bet.
Note: if one of your split hands is an Ace and 10 (Jack, Queen or King), it will be counted as 21 and not Blackjack. You will be paid evens for a winning hand.
Placing a chip in more than one betting circle will initiate Multi-Hand Mode. This allows you to play up to five blackjack hands simultaneously. Each game is independent from the other, although the dealer will play with the same hand.
Playing Multi-Hand blackjack will offer you the same betting options – Side Bets, Insurance etc. – as an individual game. You can place different bets and play different Side Bets if you wish.
The cards will be dealt from right to left, with the game played out in the same manner. All player hands will be played out before the dealer reveals their card.
Note: When offered Insurance for Multi-Hand games, a function will appear on screen giving you the choice of accepting Insurance for all hands.
Premium Blackjack Rules:
Below is an overview of the rules for Premium Blackjack at William Hill Casino:
Ten Card Charlie:
It is possible to draw 10 cards to a single hand without exceeding 21. This termed 10 Card Charlie. It will beat any other hand except Blackjack. You will receive a 1 to 1 payout on your bet.
Side Bets can be placed on Player Pair, Dealer Pair or 21 +3. All Side Bets are played and judged separately from the main game. However, you cannot place a Side Bet without placing a bet on the main game.
To make a Side Bet, place a chip in the areas marked Player Pair, Dealer Pair or 21+3.
Note: you can play all three Side Bets simultaneously if you wish.
Player Pair/Dealer Pair:
The Player Pair/Dealer Pair Side Bet is a wager made on either you are the dealer having a pair in the first two cards of the hand. If you choose Player Pair, the bet is settled directly after the first two cards have been dealt. If you choose Dealer Pair, the bet is settled when the dealer reveals their second card.
The payouts awarded depend on what type of Pair is achieved:

Two Cards of the same value and colour, e.g. Jack of Diamonds and Jack of Hearts.

You will win the 21+3 Side Bet if you make one of the following three-card poker hands:
Hand Consists Of:
Suited Three of a Kind

Here's a rundown of some of our most popular online casino games, including how to play them, and which offers the highest payouts.
Online slots are played more than any other online casino games. They’re relatively simple to play, which makes them a great option for beginners. Slots can also offer large payouts, particularly for a jackpot win.
Playing slots online is very straightforward. The simplest form of online slots are three-reel slots, which are based on the traditional fruit machines you may have seen in arcades. In these slots, you’ll see three columns and three rows of symbols, with the middle row being the payline. You place your bet and spin the reel, and if you get a winning combination, you win the amount stated on the paytable.
There are many other kinds of slots online available at William Hill Canada, such as five-reel slots and video slots, but they essentially work in the same way. While the odds of winning at slots are slimmer than other online casino games, they do allow you to play with small stakes on a wide variety of slots. Slots with a jackpot offer a larger prize pool, so let’s have a look at those next.
The main difference between regular online slots and jackpot slots is that the former have a lower maximum payout. With jackpot slots, however, there are larger top prizes, sometimes offering up to a seven-digit win on just a single spin.
While 'jackpot' can refer to a fixed huge cash prize awarded during jackpot games, the term is also used to describe progressive slot games. For fixed jackpot slots the size of the jackpot is, well, a fixed amount. With a progressive slot, the size of the jackpot increases each time a player places a bet on the game. Progressive jackpot slots are a great way to add to your online gambling experience. These games can offer some of the most exciting experiences of all casino games, as they provide you with the chance to win the biggest payouts you'll find online.
Online roulette games consist of a wheel with spaces that are either red or black and are numbered from 1-36. This popular game is easy to learn and even easier to play. All you need to do is predict where the ball will land and place your bet. The roulette wheel then spins, and if it lands on where you placed your bet, you win.
You may think that only one variant of roulette exists in online casinos, as this is typically the case at real-world casinos. However, at William Hill Canada, you’ll find multiple variants available, including a European version with one zero, and an American version with two. You’ll also find a French version that offers slightly improved odds if you bet on an even-money proposition.
To win at online blackjack, you need a higher number than the dealer without exceeding 21. You are dealt two cards and can ask for another card as many times as you want before you reach 21.
One of the great things about playing online blackjack is the number of variants available. At a real-world casino, you’re restricted to just one or two games, but you'll find more here at William Hill Canada, including Blackjack Scratch, Royale Blackjack, and Blackjack Super 21.
This is where online casino technology really comes into its own. Some players enjoy the thrills provided by a real-life casino but also enjoy the convenience of playing online. Live casino offers the ultimate experience to these players. The only difference between playing live casino at home and playing at a land-based casino is that with the former, the action is live-streamed to your device.
You’ll be playing at real tables, with real cards, and with real croupiers dealing your cards or spinning the wheel. Depending on the game, you'll also be playing with other players from all over the globe. With the ability to enjoy live chat with both players and the dealer, live casino offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy an immersive experience while playing your favourite casino games online.
An online casino bonus is a great way to boost your balance with extra funds and make playing your favourite online slots even more fun. Casino bonuses come in a number of different forms and are applicable to a variety of online casino games.
