Live Blackjack

We offer eight deck Live Blackjack with a live dealer and a real Blackjack table, with multiple players. The cards are shuffled when there are approximately four decks left in the shoe.

If you are not familiar with Blackjack, proceed straight to the Blackjack Rules.

To play the game:

  • There probably is a game round in progress at the moment you enter. Please wait until the current game round is finished. You can then place your bets.
  • Click on a chip of desired value to select it. Then click on the bet area on the Blackjack table to place your bet. Once a main bet has been placed, Side Bets can be placed. Move your cursor over the blackjack table and click on either the Players Perfect Pair or the Dealers Perfect Pair bet area to place your side bet. Every click adds one chip to the bet. Click another chip to select it if you wish to increase the bet by some other amount. Right-clicking on the bet area removes one chip from the bet.
  • You have a limited amount of time from the moment a round is started to place a bet. Then the next round is dealt and if your hand wins, you receive your winnings. When finished placing your bets, click the Confirm button.
    • You can skip a turn by simply not placing any bets on the table.
  • Wait for your turn. Then use the Hit, Stand, Double, Split and Insurance buttons as necessary.
    • You must make your move in a certain amount of time (see the ticker in the bottom right corner of the screen). If you do not make a selection, you will automatically stand.
  • If every player at the table busts, the round is over. The dealer's second card is not revealed and dealer does not draw additional cards.
  • Before the start of each round, one card will be drawn from the deck face down and "burned" (discarded).

Side bets

A side bet is a wager you can make beyond the regular game bet. You can bet that your own first two cards or the dealer's first two cards form a pair. The following is a description of the available side bets:

Player's Perfect Pair / Dealer's Perfect Pair

The side bet rules are the following:

  • The Player's Perfect Pair side bet wins if the first two Player cards form a 'Perfect Pair', 'Colored Pair', or a 'Red/Black Pair'.
  • The Dealer's Perfect Pair side bet wins if the first two Dealer cards form a 'Perfect Pair', 'Colored Pair', or a 'Red/Black Pair'.
    • The Perfect Pair side bet wins according to the payout table if the first two Player or Dealer cards form a pair of the same suit, for example a pair of 4 of Diamonds.
    • The Colored Pair side bet wins according to the payout table if the first two Player or Dealer cards form a pair of the same color but different suit, for example 4 of Diamonds and 4 of Hearts.
    • The Red/Black Pair side bet wins according to the payout table if the first two Player or Dealer cards form a pair, but with different colors and suits, for example 4 of Diamonds and 4 of Spades.
  • Both Player's Perfect Pair and Dealer's Perfect Pair side bets can be placed at the same time.
  • Side bets cannot be placed without placing a regular bet.

Note on malfunctions: A malfunction voids all pays and plays.

Note on disconnections: If you are disconnected from the Internet in the middle of a game while playing for Real Money, please re-establish your Internet connection and log back into the casino. You will be automatically directed to the non-live version of the game you were playing so you can finish the game round. Please note that only the cards that were on the table at the moment of disconnection are carried over to such a game round. In some cases the video stream may allow you to see dealer cards drawn or revealed after your disconnection. These cards are not carried over to the non-live game round.

If you rejoin the table before the end of the round, you can continue playing. You will be given the normal amount of time to decide on your move.

Blackjack Rules

The object of Blackjack is for the total of your cards to be closer to 21 than the dealer's cards, without exceeding 21. In Blackjack, aces count as either 1 or 11, face cards as 10, and number cards at their face value.

If you receive an ace and a ten-value card as your first two cards, you have Blackjack and win 1.5 times your bet (if your bet was $10, you receive $25). If the total value of your cards is closer to 21 than the dealer's, you win your bet amount (if your bet was $10, you receive $20). If the total of your cards is more than 21, you "bust" and lose your bet. If you and the dealer have the same card total (17 and up) neither of you win and your bet is returned to you in a "push". Blackjack beats a score of 21.

Our Blackjack follows the standard "Las Vegas Strip" rules, with the following exceptions:

  • After each round, used cards are returned to the deck and the deck is shuffled.
  • The player may not split a split hand.
  • Only one card is drawn to split aces.
  • The player may double after splitting.
  • The dealer will not check for Blackjack in any case.
  • If the player doubles and the dealer's first card is of value 11 (ACE), and the dealer gets Blackjack, the player loses both his bets. If the dealer's first card is of value 10, and the dealer gets Blackjack, the player gets the Double bet back.

Split

If your first two cards have the same value, you may split them into two separate hands by placing a second bet equal to the original bet. You will then draw additional cards to each hand. You may draw as many cards as you like on each split hand, but if you split two aces, you receive only one additional card for each ace. If you receive an ace and a ten-value card in a split hand, it is considered 21 and not Blackjack.

Double

If, after you are dealt your first two cards, you think that the third card will allow you to beat the dealer's hand, you can double your bet. The bet amount becomes twice the original (with the difference taken out of your balance), and you are dealt one more card.

Insurance

If the dealer shows an Ace in his initial hand, you are given a chance to insure your bet against him having a Blackjack. If you get Insurance, an amount equal to half your original bet is placed separately on the table. If the dealer does have Blackjack, you are paid 2 to 1 on your insurance. This way you do not lose your original bet (because you get the 2x half your original bet, plus the insurance amount back). If the dealer does not have Blackjack, you lose the insurance amount, even if you end up losing.

10 Card Charlie

It is theoretically possible for the player to draw 10 cards without going bust. In this case the player's hand automatically wins, except when the dealer has Blackjack.
